Welcome to the Transition to Adulthood area of our Local Offer. The main aim of this section is to provide young persons and their families with comprehensive information about personal support so that they achieve their potential as they make their transition to adulthood.

Transition is often a turbulent time for many young adults as growing up involves changes in roles, relationships, expectations and status within the family, amongst friends and within the wider community of home, school and work. Depending on a young person’s personal circumstances, the process can be extended or delayed until they are emotionally and financially ready and have the qualifications they need and aspire to, so that they have the opportunity to achieve their economic potential, achieve their aspirations and make a successful transition to adulthood.

In this area, young persons will find information about independent and supported living, maintaining a healthy adult life, education and employment, pathway plans about transition which focus on career planning and money management.
